Happy Birthday to You, You Live in a Zoo

You look like a monkey and you smell like one too.

Today I turn 20, queue I’m so old. I remember when I turned 10 years old and everybody was like “you’ve lived a decade, wow” and now another decade later a shit ton of stuff has happened in my life that I would have never expected. The next 10 years of my life arguably are the most important 10 years as the rest of my life is probably dictated by what happens in these next 10 years. It’s kind of scary to think about but 10 years is a long time and I have much to learn and experience still.

When I was 10 years old I remember that I had to convince my parents to let me use the internet we had at the time. I read this 200 page book that I got from the library all about the internet and internet safety just to prove to my parents that I could use the internet responsibly. They were convinced and let me use the slow ass dial up internet we had at the time but it still was the internet. My online name golf1052 was created when I was 10 also so this means my online name is unofficially 10 years old now which is pretty cool.

The fact that the entirety of my presence on the internet has only happened within the last 10 years is crazy to think about considering how much of a presence it has in my life now. The last 10 years were good, the next 10 years will probably be better. Unless I randomly die. That would suck.
